Yellow corn is a variety of sweet corn. Yellow corn has a higher nutritional value than white corn , due to higher levels of of Lutein, Carotenoids and vitamin A. It can be boiled, used in soups, dips, sweet puddings or even grilled. This organic product is GMO free, and contains no preservatives or artificial flavours.
It is an excellent source of fiber and protein. Maize is a good source of minerals including Phosphorus, Magnesium, Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Iron and also contains small amounts of Calcium and Potassium.
Soaking the grains is optional. Rinse and place in a pot with plenty of water. Bring to the boil, add some salt, reduce to a simmer and allow to cook until tender - about 50-60 mins. Use in sweet and savoury recipes. Add to soups, stews, dips, veggies, or even puddings.
