Amaranth flakes can be enjoyed for breakfast as a porridge, or as a breakfast cereal base for muesli or granola. Amaranth flakes are also a great addition to breads, or crumble toppings. Amaranth flakes cook similar to oats. To enjoy a porridge, Bring 1 part amaranth flakes and 2 parts water, milk or any other liquid to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce to low heat and allow to simmer, covered, for about 5 - 10 mins to reach a soft and creamy consistency.
