ORGANIC WHITE ROYAL QUINOA
Quinoa, often categorized as a superfood, has long been prized for its nutrition- the Incas referred to Quinoa as the mother of all grains. Although commonly referred to as a grain, Quinoa is actually a seed that grows in a rainbow of colours, from white to black to red to green and many colours in between. When cooked, quinoa is soft and fluffy, with a slightly nutty taste. It can also be milled into flour, rolled into flakes and used to make various foods like pasta and bread. White is the most common color of quinoa. Of all the quinoa colors, white quinoa has the most delicate taste and the lightest texture and it cooks up a bit fluffier than other types of quinoa. This organic product is GMO free, and contains no preservatives or artificial flavours.

White quinoa has a light and fluffy texture and mild flavour. It can be enjoyed as a porridge for breakfast, or mixed through a salad. It works well as a substitute for rice in many dishes. White quinoa is the fastest-cooking quinoa. You could prepare a large amount and keep it in the fridge for quick use. To prepare, rinse the quinoa and place in a pot with 2 parts water. Bring to the boil over medium heat, and then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer. Cook until the quinoa has absorbed all of the water, about 10 to 20 minutes. Remove the pot from heat, cover, and let the quinoa steam for 5 minutes so it turns out nice and fluffy.
