Himalayan black salt, similar to Himalayan pink salt, is sourced from the Himalayas. Black salt is not naturally occurring; it is made by heating a mix of Himalayan salt charcoal, bark, seeds and herbs in a furnace for 24 hours. Less processed and less iodized than table salt, black salt is a healthier substitute. This rock salt has a coarse texture- can be used whole or ground.
