Wild rice can be substituted for white and brown rice in all of your dishes. Cold Wild Rice is delicious in salads and rice paper wraps! Wild rice is a tough seed that cooks slowly - it can take anywhere between 45 mins and an hour to fully cook. The easiest way is to add rinsed wild rice and plenty of cold water and some salt to a pot. Bring the rice and water to a boil then reduce to a simmer and allow to cook covered for 45 mins. Check the rice, it may need an additional 10 mins . When the rice is done, pour into a strainer to drain.
