They are gluten free and can be used whole, roasted or blended in sweet and savoury dishes for their rich, nutty and slightly bitter flavour.

Sesame seeds can be used raw or toasted, whole or ground or in paste form. Add sesame seeds to breads, biscuits, granola and muesli. Sprinkle over smoothies, salads, noodles and stirfries. They are often used in Middle Eastern dishes, and are a key ingredient in zaatar spice mix. Blended sesame seeds create a paste known as tahini which is an ingredient in hummus and other dips. Use sesame seeds to coat pastries, sweets or even poultry and seafood for added texture and flavour.
