Dukkah is a rich savoury Egyptian spice blend made with toasted nuts, roasted spices and sesame seeds. The word Dukkah is arabic for ‘to pound’, which is originally how it was made. It is fantastic with some fresh bread and olive oil. Sprinkled it on salads, dips, avocado toast or even chicken and meat.
Dukkah is traditionally mixed with olive oil and enjoyed with flatbread. Sprinkle it over dips, salads, eggs, avocado toast or cooked veggies for a unique flavour. Mix with oil and use as a marinade for fish, tofu, meat or chicken. Add it to soups and stews or even home-baked bread for a Middle Eastern twist.
