Yellow mustard seeds can be used whole or ground. Roasting the seeds releases their aromatic and attractive flavour. They are a common ingredient in pickling brines, chutneys, curries, stews and sauces. Use the seeds to crust meats and seafood. Make a condiment by grinding and adding some water and apple cider vinegar and season with salt. Mustard seeds can also be sprouted for mustard cress.
